Our Story


Like many Kiwi stories begin, LedMyHome.co.nz came from my own experiences. Back in 2014, I was very fortunate to purchase my first home. Soon after move in day, one of my first home improvement projects was to make the switch from incandescent lighting to LED. I’d heard about the benefits on TV and with further research I found the technology was simply amazing. Highly energy efficient? eco-friendly? and last much longer? Sign me up!

The next step was making the purchase. Ready to make the switch I found myself standing at the store with more questions than answers. What equivalent LED wattage do I need for the same light output? What fittings are in each room? What ambience colors go in which room? I quickly realised it would be much easier to purchase all bulbs from the comfort of my home where I could easily gather the information I needed. Full pun intended…. I had a light bulb moment and set out to develop an offering which makes it easy to fit a home with quality LED lighting; and better yet offer each bulb at a 'direct' online price to assist the average home to enjoy the benefits of a switch.

Following months of analysing samples and suppliers in search for high quality LED bulbs equivalent to top market brands, LedMyHome.co.nz was launched; offering a core standardised range of bulbs suitable for most Kiwi homes along with the tip’s & tools to select the right bulb and create an LED 'shopping list’ room by room.

We carefully pack & dispatch to homes all over the country from our warehouse based on Auckland's, North Shore. We pride ourselves on our after sales service and introduction of smart initiatives such as the 'incandescent recycling programme' to safely recycle & dispose of old bulbs following the switch.
